MEDITATION AND CLEANSING ARE
By human habit, our mind collects fearful thoughts and emotions and stays stuck to the past and worries about the future. We collect negative impressions (thoughts, emotions) and store them. Sad but true, living in modern times, our bodies cannot avoid taking in and storing toxins even if we can and do make better health choices.
Meditation and nutritional cleansing both work to help eliminate toxins, meditation on the mental and emotional levels and cleansing on the body level. At the same time, these practices also provide nourishment to our Being.
Why I Cleanse
I started a nutritional cleanse protocol after a long-time meditation friend told me about how uplifted she felt after doing a 30 day cleanse.
She reported that she had a sense of energy, clarity and well-being that she's never experienced before. I couldn't resist. And sure enough, I felt plugged into a reservoir of energy I didn’t know I had. My body felt lighter and better. My experience of cleansing toxins out on the physical level was similar to de-cluttering my mind with meditation. A light-bulb went off. While meditation is simple, people can find it difficult.
Doing a cleanse and feeling good in the body is a great boost to help us go deeper into a meditation practice of working with our mind.
We do not have to be ashamed of what we are.
As sentient beings we have wonderful backgrounds.
These backgrounds may not be particularly
enlightened or peaceful or intelligent.
Nevertheless, we have soil good enough to cultivate;
we can plant anything in it.
